Social event and dinner
Our aim will be to provide you with an overview of the town of Nantes including its history, its specialities, its openness towards arts and culture, etc. Two options have been identified so far for the social event. Depending on the opportunities we will have, you will either have the possibility to discover the town center on board of a small tourist train and to visit the Machines de l'île and our great elephant or to join a guided historical tour of the city.
Social events (wednesday afternoon):

Travel aboard a small tourist train through Nantes town center
- A 40 min journey through the streets of Nantes to see the town hall, some famous squares, the "Loire" river, the "Feydeau" island, the castle, etc...

Visit of the "Machines de l'île" of Nantes and its great elephant
- "Les Machines de l’île" is an unprecedented artistic project. Born from the imaginations of François Delarozière and Pierre Orefice, it is a blend of the invented worlds of Jules Verne, the mechanical universe of Leonardo da Vinci, and the industrial history of Nantes, on the exceptional site of the former shipyards.
- The great elephant lives in the central street of the Nefs. When the majestic animal goes out for its walk, it is like architecture in motion departing a steel cathedral. The 50 passengers on board embark on an amazing journey on the Ile de Nantes. Each time the pachyderm goes out, it is a unique spectacle for everyone to enjoy.
- A guided historical tour of Nantes: from the Middle Age up to the XIXth century.
Social dinner (Thursday night):
The social dinner will take place on board of the Bateaux de l'Erdre, during a cruise on the Erdre river.
