With the LHC Run2 just around the corner it is time to share the details about what's new in XRootD and in computing environmetns of the LHC collaborations.

Workshop focus:

• LHC Run2: Changes to computing models and data-formats of the experiments and the expected effects on remote data access.
• XRootD v4: new features presented with detailed configuration and usage instructions.
• Large storage deployments (e.g. EOS, storage at SDSC) and 100 Gbps networks.
• XRootD and OSG, cross-campus data-access,serving data to non-HEP VOs
