Description
After briefly reviewing the current status of dark matter theory and searches. I
will discuss how ideas about dark matter are branching out, with a focus on my work on an
independent charged dark matter component that could lead to the
formation of a dark disk. I will discuss the different implications this disk can have
in laboratory searches for dark matter and in astronomical measurements, including
some updated bounds we have done on a dark disk.
