Conclusions and Future Work
Since the Site Status Board is already being used, the main goal is to keep it running, and at the same time incorporate the new requests from users.
In particular, some additions that are being currently investigated include an automatic alarm system, and the compression of old data to reduce the size of the database,
Impact
The Site Status Board is currently being used by the CMS computing shifter and the CMS site commissioning group.
Moreover, it is also being used to provide a monitoring tool for sites to be able to follow up all the virtual organizations that are active on their particular site
The Site Status Board is generic, and can be used by any experiment or virtual organization.

Detailed analysis
The Site Status Board has three major components:
o) Collectors that gather the information about the status of the sites.
o) An Oracle database where all the information is stored. The design of the database allows new metrics to be created at any moment
o) A web portal, using the dashboard technology, that makes the information available in different formats, including html, graphs and xml.
The main page of the SSB presents the status of all the sites according to the critical metrics. In the case of sites having problems, it also displays for how long the situation has been going on. The SSB has links to more detailed information, as well as graphs showing the evolution of the metrics over time.
The SSB also gives the possibility to mark sites as being in maintenance, or as being under investigation.
Finally, the SSB can provide different views to the data, with each view presenting different metrics.
