Transport options from the airport Hamburg (HAM) to DESY:

(1) Taxi (about 35€, about 25min): Ask to go to DESY (Notkestrasse 85).
(2) Public Transport (3,10 Euro, about 60min): http://www.hvv.de/en/ (trip planner public transport)
(a) Take S-Bahn (S1) from “Hamburg Airport” to “S Othmarschen” (do not get out in Ohlsdorf)
(b) Walk down to bus stops. Take M1 bus in direction “Schenefelder Holt” or “Rissen” (watch sign on bus or ask bus driver, both directions stop close by)
(c) Get off at stop “Zum Hünengrab (DESY)” - Walk 2 min to DESY (following signs).

Changing from S-Bahn to bus in Othmarschen:
Get out, take the exit walking back against train direction, get down stairs, turn right towards bus station.
