ZPW2016: Higgs physics at the LHC

Europe/Zurich
HG F30, Raemistrasse 101, 8092 Zurich
Description

As the Large Hadron Collider  completes its first 13TeV run, particle physics researchers are challenged by  precision requirements in measurements of Higgs observables, that are necessary to make any new physics within reach visible. We have recently witnessed an expansion of the frontier in higher order computations and parton-shower matching techniques. New windows in BSM physics, amid a collective effort to efficiently parametrise the Higgs boson couplings, are opening up, raising the stakes in our quest to scrutinize the mechanism of Electroweak symmetry breaking.

The Zurich Phenomenology workshop will bring together leading researchers from experimental and theoretical elementary particle physics to discuss recent results on Higgs related observables and their impact on the search for new physics at the LHC.

The workshop is organized jointly by the particle theory groups of UZH and ETH and will be held on January 6-8, 2015.
