Description

  • Present circumstantial evidences that seem to favour a scenario of baryogenesis via
    leptogenesis from heavy particle decays
  • New experimental results that could further support this picture in the next future
  • Difficulties for going beyond the level of "circumstantial evidences in favour...".
General no-go arguments forbidding leptogenesis scales sufficiently low to be directly
    accessible in laboratory experiments.
  • Conditions and loopholes that might allow to circumvent the previous arguments for
    building low scale leptogenesis models

Summary

I will review some features of leptogenesis from the decays of heavy particles.
After recalling the most appealing theoretical aspects, I will address the issue
of the main limitations and difficulties for experimental verification. I will then
describe some of the hardest challenges for constructing leptogenesis models
at low scales.
