Last updated on June 3, 2016 by T. Csörgő, chair of LOC.

Travel/transportation information moved to separate page by M. Csanád on June 3.

On the overbooking problem in Hotel Opal:

Note that the overbooking problem that we try to manage in the last weeks of the Low-x 2016 meeting was due to a sudden change of the management in  Hotel Opal. At the end we had to rebook 34 participants, unfortunately, due to a competition from a large international commertial company who made an upfront payment to Hotel Opal from Thursday June 9  till Sunday June 12. We apologize for the related inconvenience but hope that you will accept our suggestions and offers: we tried hard to find at least as good hotels as Opal and tried to assist your transportation needs as well!

PAYMENT information:

You will have to pay your due

  • registration fee, your optional
  • post-conference excursion fee to Eger and Tokaj, as well as your
  • conference hotel expenses,

if you have reserved your hotel with us here (you stay in Hotel Opal or in Károly Róbert Hostel, or rebooked from Hotel Opál to Hotel Anna, Hotel Mátra Vital or Hotel Mátra Sástó).

You can pay by cash (HUF or EUR) at the registration desk, or, pay by credit card without any extra surcharge from the conference, also at the Low-x 2016 Registration Desk. In case of technical difficulties, there is an  ATM's available within 2 min walk from the Registration Desk at the Karoly Robert College or within 15 min walk at several banks in the city of Gyöngyös.

Some participants have already kindly transferred their participation fee  to the following account, thank you!

To all others: please indicate the conference name "Low-x 2016" and the last name of the participant(s) / your name/ as a comment in the wire transfer. This is a request from the Wigner administrators to identify the participants and the conference more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation!

Recently, Hungary joined the Single Euro Payment Zone (SEPA). Due to this reason we have to use two different SWIFT codes for bank transfers: one for transfers from SEPA, another one for transfers from non-SEPA countries. Please kindly pay attention to this and use the approporiate SWIFT code, depending on the country of origin of your wire transfer.
