This workshop is sponsored by EuCARD programme in collaboration with INFN, US LARP and Russian laboratories (IHEP, JINR and PNPI).
The goals of the workshop are to discuss if a new crystal collimation procedure assisted by bent crystals and suited for collimation during the ultimate high-luminosity phase of the machine and for new large colliders are possible. The use of Crystals in experiments for the study of diffractive physics will be the second goal of the Workshop. New experimental data on the effect of volume reflection and use of crystals in Fermilab Tevatron will be presented.
A large fraction of the meeting will be devoted to the new experiment (UA9) at CERN SPS.
