Description

Grid Information Systems are mission-critical components in todayโ€™s production Grid infrastructures. They enable users, applications and services to discover which services exist in the infrastructure and further information about their service structure and state. Over recent years, a number of Grid projects have emerged and have deployed Grid Information System to support their infrastructures. A significant amount of experience has been gained during this time and improvements have been made to increase the scalability, reliability and robustness of these systems. This session provides a consolation of this experience and a perspective towards the future direction of Grid Information Systems.
