Wednesday Rafting
It's time for some hardcore outdoors adventure! We're going to raft down the bouncy rapids lurking in the amazing Cetina river canyon, followed by a delicious traditional "peka" dinner at the Radmanove Mlinice restaurant (location map here).
Weather
Forecast sunny with some cloud and possibly a localised shower, up to 25'C. Evening will be cooler, especially next to the river where we eat.
You will need to bring:
For rafting - footwear that you don't mind getting wet (you will get wet), light clothes (eg. shorts, t-shirt ... which will get wet), and a lightweight windproof cagoule/k-way if you have one (....which will get wet). If it's not obvious by now, you are going to get soaking wet.
After, for the evening/dinner - a towel, and warm dry clothing to get changed into to wear for the evening.
Transport
The bus leaves MEDILS at 13:45.
Dinner
Dinner is at the Radmanove Mlinice at 19:00. We eat outside, next to the river and it can get cool, so bring a spare jumper to keep warm.
Omis / staying local
For those who are visiting Omis instead of rafting, you will travel on the bus with everyone and be dropped off in Omis. Ivica will pick you up later to bring you to Radmanove Mlinice. Be ready to leave Omis at 18h45 (pick-up point here)
For those staying local to MEDILS, Ivica will pick you up and bring you to the restaurant in time for dinner. Be ready to leave at 18h10.
Any questions?
... ask Cath. I was semi-professional whitewater canoeist and instructor before getting a proper job, so if you have any questions about what to expect or just aren't sure about the whole thing, come talk to me... :)
Wednesday Sports Afternoon
Please select your activity for Wednesday afternoon at:
https://indico.cern.ch/event/591480/surveys/490
The poll closes on 20:00 Tuesday evening, so please ensure you have made your choice by then!
The evening meal is traditionally cooked peka - lots of grilled meats and vegetables.

tCSC-2017 Live! is the live blog/information-sharing channel of the organisers (Sebastian, Nikos, Cath and the lecturers) with students during the School.
However as we all are human and prefer some interaction with real live people on the other side of our screens, don't forget about our Facebook page and sharing on Twitter.

Excited yet? I know I am - we had one of our best Schools ever last year (see the photo gallery for tCSC2016) and we're very happy to be coming back to the same place. Hopefully it will be even better than last year! Is this possible?? It's up to you..... :)
