Directions from Schiphol Airport:
First take a train to Amsterdam Central Station and then follow the instructions below. There are about 8 trains per hour and they usually leave from platform 1, 2 or 3 (please check signs before boarding). The ride will take about 15 minutes.

Directions from Amsterdam Central Station:
Trains from Amsterdam Centraal Station to Amsterdam Science Park depart 4 times per hour, at approximately 10, 22, 40 and 52 minutes past the hour, and usually leave from platform 11a/11b (please check signs before boarding). Amsterdam Science Park is the second stop.
Upon exiting the station, turn left and follow the road under the railway bridge.  When you come to a crossroads, cross straight over and continue walking.  The entrance to the Centrum voor Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) is located on the left hand side of the road, just past the first bus stop.  The entrance is recognisable by an automatic car park barrier.  Walk straight up the drive and follow signs for the CWI (click for map).

Public transportation tickets:
Amsterdam is serviced by an excellent public transport network comprising trams, buses and metro.  Tickets should be purchased from a machine before travelling.

Guests planning on making extensive use of trams, buses and metro can also purchase an OV-Chipkaart. The advantage of doing so will be a considerably cheaper fare. This universal travel card can be charged with credit and used on all public transport services in Amsterdam. It can also be used on the trains, but only when credited with €20 or more. OV-Chipkaarts can be purchased from ticket offices at all stations, as well as automatic vending machines. They cost €7,50 and can be charged with credit at all stations and at some retail outlets (e.g. Albert Heijn).
