Uslhcnet Ciena devices upgraded for higher capacity. High redundance across the Atlantic for BNL and FNAL links Geant3 Foreseen service enhancements based on 40-100G interfaces. Equipment upgrade expected. Monitoring and circuit provisioning services moving to pilot and operational phases. INFN-CNAF Datacentre for WLCG and Grid software development. Wishes to have a second 10G link to a NAP not at CERN, especially to reach US T1s. But a second 10G link may be made quick available. Using Extreme switches. Now moving to Cisco Nexus for the core and 3com for the aggregation. GARR New 7 year project: GARR-X. 6 core router, L1 and L2 access. Connectivity for italian T2s under discussion; two options: dedicated circuit or ethernet circuits. Renater: http://pasillo.renater.fr/weathermap/weathermap_france.html Increasing capacity among Geneva, Lyon, Paris, Strasburg. Building an optical exchange point in Marsille; ready in 2010Q2 Many submarine cables from Africa and Asia. Operations All NOCs attended the training. Usage of ticketing system vary per site. Event-Ticket correlation: ~60% of >1h event are not reported in GGUS. Things are working but may be improved. A meeting of the OPsWG will be held. Deisa Network topology similar to the LHCOPN one. Home made monitoring system checking availability and performance among supercomputers. Moving to perfsonar. Monitoring discussion: E2emon doesn't show the correct status. A dashboard showing the overall status of the network to be used by the end users. Dante would like to have the list of requirment. A responsible for the monitoring activity is needed. Monitoring based on Grid jobs: A system that takes in account grid jobs to report on the status on the network. May be of interest for the LHCOPN community. Will coordinate with the MonWG. WLCG feedback They want us to work on T2 connectivity and monitoring. WLCG future network requirements T0-T1 backup link are important. Total T1-T1 traffic is the same order of magnitude of total T0-T1. There may be some bigger T2s which need more bandwidth. Actions: Edoardo: circulate new link definition (exclusively for WLCG traffic. Any exception must be communicated and agreed by the LHCOPN community). OpsWG: solves still open issues (Guillaume presentation) Edoardo, Wayne: define the role of the monitoring WG. Wayne: lead the monitoring activity Community: continue gathering requirments for T2 connectivity. Wayne: define SLA Thank you very much to CNAF and Stefano. Next LHCOPN meeting: 8-9 of March in London (Janet)
