Location

ComsoTools18 will take place in Aachen, Germany. This historic city, close to the border with Belgium and the Netherlands, was once the winter capital of Charlemagne, and saw the crowning of many German Kings. 

Today the city is a hub of technology and innovation, and home to one of Germany's leading institutes of higher education in technology; RWTH Aachen University.

Directions

Reaching the Physikzentrum by bus
From Bushof (Bus station): Lines 33 and 73 (direction Vaals or Uniklinik). Connections every 10 minutes. Journey takes ~15 minutes, disembark at Campus Melaten and follow the signs for CosmoTools.

From Hauptbahnhof (Train station): Lines 3A and 3B in either direction (circular lines), and occasionally line 103 (direction Campus Melaten). Connections every 10 minutes. Journey takes ~20 minutes, disembark at Campus Melaten and follow the signs for CosmoTools. (The bus will stop for 5 minutes at Uniklinik, don’t worry, this is normal). 

Tickets can be purchased directly from the bus driver (~2.70eur).

Alternatively, from the city centre to the Physikzentrum is a nice 45 minutes walk.

Accommodation

Accommodation should be arranged by participants upon receiving confirmation of participation. Aachen offers many hotels in the city center, a (not-complete) listing can be hound here:
