CERN EP Department - R&D on experimental technologies - Workshop 1
CERN’s Experimental Physics department has launched a process to define its R&D programme on new Experimental Technologies. This initiative spans a 5-years period from 2020 onwards (with a possible extension by another 5 years) and covers detector hardware, electronics and software for new experiments and detector upgrades beyond LHC phase II.
We invite the community to a full-day workshop at CERN on 16 March 2018. Working groups, which are forming to study the key themes, will report about the state-of-the-art, needs and prospects.
For more information about the working groups and how you can contribute visit the EP RD-ET page.
A second workshop will take place in the autumn of this year, with the aim of preparing a report summarizing the proposed R&D programme before the end of the year.
There is no fee, however registration is required.
