Social Program

We will have a Welcome Reception on-campus at the evening of Wednesday, Spet 5th.

On Thursday, we will have an Excursion to the Shakespeare Globe Theatre and watch the Shakespeare play Twelfth Night.  The contemporary Globe Theatre is an authentic reconstruction of the Shakespeare Globe Theatre from 1599. Watching a play in this venue, provides an authentic Elizabethan Era experience.  You can watch the play standing in the yard, like the majority of the citizens of London in the 17th century, close to the action and with actors entering and leaving through the crowd. Or you can choose a more comfortable seat on the gallery, like the wealthier citizens of Elizabethan London. We have pre-booked tickets for both categories, which can be booked while paying the conference fee in the QMUL e-shop.

After the play, we will have the Conference Dinner.  Please register for the dinner while paying the conference fee in the QMUL e-shop.

If you would like to extend your trip, London has many tourist attractions, most of which can be booked online, which will allow you to bypass queues.  Public transport maps can be obtained here.

We also have designed a list of recommended pubs close to QMUL,  in eastern or central London.
