Description
We compute the NLO QCD corrections for the production of a weak vector boson (W or Z) in association with up to three jets at the LHC, using the programs BlackHat and SHERPA. We study total cross sections as well as distributions. We discuss W polarization phenomena. We also present a study of ratios between related processes, which could enable data-driven background estimations,
especially with early data sets.
