Description

LHCb UK Annual Meeting 2019

University of Warwick, 3-4 January 2019

The 2019 LHCb-UK Annual Meeting follows previous LHCb-UK meetings, celebrating the achievements of the collaboration and looking forward to prospects for the coming 12 months.

Outline

A comprehensive and interesting programme of presentations is planned with contributions from across the LHCb analysis working groups. There will also be opportunities to discuss the preparation of the Upgrade and consider how the UK should focus its physics efforts. As is traditional at these meetings, priority will be given to junior members of the collaboration who wish to highlight their work.

The meeting will take place over two days, starting on Thursday 3rd where lunch will be available from 12:30pm. This will be followed by two presentation sessions starting at 1:30pm. Dinner and accommodation are provided on Thursday evening. Two morning sessions on Friday will conclude the meeting with a finishing time expected to be around 1pm. A closed session for the steering board is expected that afternoon from 2pm-4pm.

Registration

All participants must register.  Registration will close on the 3rd December so that numbers for accommodation and catering can be established in adequate time. There is no registration fee.

Travel

See this web page.  If coming by train, do not go to Warwick station.  Coventry is the nearest train station, and you can easily get a bus or taxi from there to campus.

Location

The meeting on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning will be in MS.01 in the Mathematics and Statistics building (see the interactive campus map).  Lunch on Thursday and coffee/tea breaks will be just outside MS.01.  Accommodation, as well as and breakfast, will be in Scarman House, a short walk away.  The Steering Board meeting, including lunch for SB members, on Friday afternoon will be in P5.23 in the Physics building.

Wifi

Eduroam is available across campus.  There is also a Warwick guest network that can be accessed following registration.
