Créé par le compositeur romand Alexandre Traube et la video-performer genevoise Silvia Fabiani, Subatomic Desire s’inspire directement des données scientifiques du Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS), l’un des détecteurs de l’accélérateur de particules LHC au CERN.
La structure de la composition musicale originale et les images animées, projetées pendant
l’exécution de l’œuvre, se fondent sur les trajets des particules subatomiques émises lors des collisions. L’exécution de l’œuvre est assurée par les créateurs mêmes, entourés d’un cast de 6 interprètes exceptionnels.
Created by French-speaking composer Alexandre Traube and Swiss video-performer Silvia Fabiani, Subatomic Desire is directly inspired by the scientific data of the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS), one of the detectors on the LHC at CERN.
The structure of the original musical composition and the animated images, projected during the performance, are based on the paths of subatomic particles emitted during collisions. The work is performed by the creators themselves, surrounded by a cast of 6 exceptional performers.
