Description

In this Appendix we will illustrate the main techniques that can be used to manufacture the most relevant components of a superconducting magnet for particle accelerators. We will mainly focus on collars and iron laminations, wedges, end spacers, poles, Al shells, bladders and the special case of the former of the canted cos theta design. For each component we will outline the main techniques that can be used, and their advantage related to costs, quantities and tolerances.
