Visas:
Due to the geographical location of CERN, astride the Franco-Swiss border, you are strongly advised to check with the relevant consulates the entry conditions applicable to you in Switzerland and France. If you require an invitation letter please contact us as soon as possible. Please note that invitation letters will only be provided once your registration for the conference is complete, your professional status has been verified and your registration fee has been received.
COVID19:
You should be familiar with the COVID-19 related rules for access to the CERN site and the Entry restrictions in CERN’s Host States. You should also be able to present a valid COVID certificate (CH or EU) recognized in Switzerland.
Accommodation:
CERN Hostel:
A block booking has been made for the ECCTI conference at the CERN Hostel (http://smb-dep.web.cern.ch/en/CERN_Housing) for the dates between June 25 and July 2. The hostel is situated on the CERN Meyrin site close to where the conference will take place.
Rates are 58 CHF per night for a single room with bathroom. If you would like one of these rooms please fill out the booking form and send directly to CERN Hostel via cern.hostel@cern.ch mentioning the ECCTI conference. In order to benefit from the guaranteed reservation for the conference, you must book before May 24th.
Cancellation and modification is accepted free of charge until 14:00 (CET) 2 days before the foreseen day of arrival. Reduction of length of stay is accepted free of charge until 12:00 (CET) on the day of departure. In case of no-show the first night of the reservation is charged at 100% to the supplied means of financial guaranty. The rest of the stay is automatically cancelled by 12:00. Check-in time is from 2.00 pm and check-out time is at 12.00 am. Free Wifi access is available at CERN (see https://information-technology.web.cern.ch/wifi#UseCase2).
