How to get to Bari and to the meeting

Bari can be conveniently reached by car, train or flight.

Reaching Bari by train.

The Italian Railways Company, Trenitalia, offers a fast service (slightly more than 4 hours) from Roma to Bari. Electronic tickets (please remember to print the ticket receipt and bring it with you on the train) can be obtained from Trenitalia website, upon registration. One way ticket to and from Roma is 50 Euros, but considerable discounts can be obtained with early booking.

Reaching Bari by car (from north).

Bari is directly located on the A14 toll highway, aka Adriatic Highway. So if you come by car we strongly advice to get to Bari using that highway. Whether you come from Bologna, Ancona or Pescara direction or from Roma, you will get to the A14. The exit to Bari is named BARI NORD and it is the only exit for Bari. After the BARI NORD exit follow the directions for Bari and you will get on the beltway. Once you are on the beltway of Bari you have several options to go to the city center. Here is an example of the driving directions from the Tangenziale (beltway) to the Conference Venue.

Reaching Bari by plane.

The International Airport of Bari-Palese, named after Karol Wojtyla, is reached by quite a number of flights from the major cities of Europe.

Shuttle service to the city center (Train Station) is provided by the Amtab (local public transportation company) bus n°16 in 35/40 minutes (price: 0,80 euro, timetable) or directly by the Tempesta bus in 25 minutes (price: 4,13 euro - Timetables can be found on their internet site).
