Access and Sanitary measures at CERN

Participants will have access to the CERN site according to the rules established by the graduated anti-COVID system providing for different levels of measures: https://hse.cern/covid-19-information

You should be familiar with the COVID-19 related rules for access to the CERN site

Access to the Auditorium

Any participant aged 16 and over will be accepted and will obtain a badge under the following conditions. He/She must present either:

  • a COVID certificate valid in Switzerland. Only QR certificates validated by the Swiss COVID Certificate Check application will be accepted.
  • the email from the labo.ge@proxilis.ch attesting a negative and valid test result, the COVID test carried out at CERN will be accepted.

Access control will be carried out by and under the responsibility of BE-OP. Participants must present their badge and access card at the entrance to the auditorium.

Sanitary measures in the Auditorium

For the safety of all participants and personnel, failure to comply with the required sanitary measures will result in immediate expulsion.

COVID testing at CERN for anyone without symptoms

It is available for those coming on-site and exhibiting no symptoms.

There are 11 testing points at CERN, the list and map locations can be found HERE.

You can easily sign-up for a test using the PLAMED tool

If you have symptoms, you should get tested, but do not come on-site, contact the COVID Helpline at +41 22 766 7777 to arrange for an RT-PCR test at the Proxilis medical laboratory in Meyrin.

Participants are recommended to do a COVID test using the PLAMED tool: https://plamed.web.cern.ch/, before and after the event.

Remote participation

The Evian Workshop will be in hybrid mode. Although we hope to welcome you in person, a Zoom connection will be made available to those that nevertheless cannot attend in person.
