Instructions for oral and poster presentation

Oral presentations

1) Presentation time: 20 min overall (max 16 min presentation + 4 min Q&A)

2) What you need to prepare and provide in advance of the conference: 

  • Slide Presentation as pdf or PowerPoint file - ratio 16:
  • Deadine for submission on INDICO: at least 24h before your session starts

If you have problems uploading your talk, please contact your session chairs or one of our local organising committee members. Remember that you must log in using your Indico (CERN) account before you can upload your talk.

On the day of your presentation, please be present at the main auditorium in Ole Johan Dahls Hus, 'Simula', at least 10 minutes before the session, not before your talk. You should then introduce yourself to the session chair. A technician will then set up your microphone before the session begins.

Poster presentations

There will be two Poster Sessions:

  • Poster Session 1 will be on Monday, June 26, 14:45 - 16:15
  • Poster Session 2 will be on Wednesday, June 28, 16:40 - 18:10.

Please mount your poster as soon as possible and keep it in place as long as possible. Posters from both sessions can be up at the same time. All posters should be removed by Thursday morning.

Prepare your poster in an A0 format (NOTE: vertical/portrait orientation). The maximum poster size is 96 cm wide and 138 cm tall. (A0 size poster is 84.1 cm x 118.9 cm).

The poster wall consist of 5 mm Kapa plates that are covered on both sides with light gray Vecro fabric.  Posters can be attached with Velcro tape or pins.

 

 

Printing

We recommend that you print your poster at home and bring it to Oslo. However, in case you need to print your poster in Oslo you could try:

The Graphic Center at the University of Oslo: On the main campus and approximately 5 minutes from the conference venue. Choose “Private orders” and register with your First name (Fornavn), last name (Etternavn), and your e-mail (E-post) to create a new user. This is required to place your order online.

Keep in mind that you should expect some days for production. For the Graphic Center at the University of Oslo you need to place the order at least 3 business days in advance.
