Description
This report presents the initial findings of a pre-feasibility study advising on the construction of a new 80km tunnel project in the CERN region. The feasibility assessment if focussed on geological, environmental and construction considerations. Three potential tunnel layouts are presented and compared to identify the most feasible option. A more detailed report from two specialist firms (GADZ and ARUP) is expected by the end of July 2012.
