Abstract title
This talk will examine how the costs of computing for large HEP projects depend on technology and the distributed computing models we employ. We will look at some of the trends in technology and computing anticipated in the coming years, and how they may be relevant for the FCC era. The talk will propose how the HEP community can organise itself in order to build on the running computing system of today (WLCG) to evolve towards the FCC era, whilst serving the needs of other global facilities and collaborations anticipated in the intervening time.
