Description

I will present some of the most recent results from the Fermi gamma-ray space telescope with emphasis on the latest catalogs (e.g. 3FGL, 3LAC and 2FHL) and on the class of blazars. I will also discuss the contribution of blazars to the extragalactic gamma-ray, VHE and the neutrino background. These results are based on Fermi detected sources, Monte Carlo simulations and on a new large sample of multi-frequency selected HSP-blazars, a type of AGN known to be VHE gamma-ray emitter that has been proposed as a possible source of neutrinos.
