    Neutrino astronomy is driven by the quest for the origin of cosmic rays. Powerful acceleration engines are needed to produce cosmic rays at the upper end of the observed energy spectrum. Neutrinos would be created in subsequent interactions of these particles in conjunction with photons in a wide range of wave lengths. Gravitational waves might as well be produced by the same sources which...
