Venue

The venue is the Sidney Myer Asia Centre and the adjoining Alice Hoy Building at the University of Melbourne campus, which is located in Parkville, Victoria, Australia. The Asia Centre is located in a striking, modern building, and houses the Carrillo Gantner theatre which can accommodate up to 490 people for the plenary talks. The parallel sessions will be held in both the Asia Centre and the Alice Hoy Building, with a variety of suitable rooms. These range from the Yasuko Hiraoka Myer room (capacity 100 seated/200 standing) to several smaller seminar rooms - 5 with seating capacities of 40-50 and 16 with capacities of 25-26. All rooms are equipped with projectors and screens, as well as laptop connections and iMac’s.

The Asia Centre and Alice Hoy buildings are internally connected, and they border a pleasant outdoor courtyard area. Participants will have access to wireless internet throughout the venue via guest accounts on the University of Melbourne network, as well as EduRoam.
