The aim of PAPS 2017 is to provide master-level students with an overview of exciting recent developments in modern physics that would normally not be part of the regular curriculum at their home universities. Lectures are given by internationally recognised experts in a variety of topics, and the school includes interactive problem solving sessions and panel discussions on opportunities and life in academia.
PAPS 2017 is hosted by Birzeit University.
Problem sets
Certificates of attendance are given to students handing in their solutions to problem sets. Problem sets are due on Thursday July 13 at the 10:15 am break. The following problems should be handed in:
1) Condensed matter physics: problem set 1.
2) Cosmology: problems 1 and 3 from problem set 1.
3) Science at SESAME: Only one problem.
4) Time-reversal invariance: all problems.
