Amsterdam Science Park

Nikhef facilities are part of Amsterdam Science Park, which is a science park located in the Oost city district of Amsterdam, and the largest science hub in Europe for science education and research. There is a bus stop (citybus lines 40/240) and a train stop, where most of the NS Sprinter trains departing from Amsterdam Centraal station (i.e. direction Amersfoort Vathorst, Zwolle, Weesp) stop after a 10 min short-ride (tickets for this trip cost around €2). For more information on Dutch public transportation in order to plan your journey to Science Park, please see 'Travel to Amsterdam' in the menu.

Reaching the workshop site

The workshop will take place at the Turingzaal (Turing room Z011) located on the Congress Centre (not the main CWI reception!) at CWI (orange building, 125), very close to Nikhef facilities. Registration will also take place in this building (desks will be placed in front of the Turingzaal).

There are two convenient accesses - the main gate from Carolina MacGillavrylaan (in front of the green buildings 'DUWO'):

And a side-gate in front of 'Polder' pub and the UvA (University of Amsterdam):

The CWI Congress Centre is easy to find (especially from the side-gate facing UvA):
