Europe/London
University of Liverpool
David Sharp (University of Manchester (GB)), Liam Gaffney (CERN)
Description

The second ISOLDE Solenoidal Spectrometer Workshop will be held at The University of Liverpool UK. This workshop will aim to inform the community about the ISOLDE Solenoidal Spectrometer project, its successes to date and future developments that will expand the capabilities of the device. The workshop will also endeavour to stimulate discussion for new physics campaigns after LS2.  Time will also be dedicated for discussion of the study of reaction-induced fission measurements in inverse kinematics.

The aims of the workshop are:

  • Give an overview to the community of the ISS project.
  • Stimulate discussion of ideas for physics exploitation for after LS2.
  • Prompt conversation on approaches for probing fission process in inverse kinematics.

The workshop will start mid-morning on Tuesday 27th August and finish in the afternoon of Wednesday 28th August. The workshop dinner will take place at Hope Street Hotel on Tuesday evening starting at 19:00.

This workshop is kindly supported by the UK Nuclear Data Network.
