31 Aug 2021, 10:40

Description

This lecture makes a nice and innovative link between the session on AI held the day before and the session today on BIG DATA and HPC.

HOW ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE on ASIC ALLOWS DATA COMPRESSION. THIS IS A NOVEL TOOL FOR HANDLING OF BIG DATA; it is AN OPTIMIZED and PHYSICS DRIVEN SMART SOLUTION applied to the HEP CASE that is developed by a high skilled team gathering a number of people here below of whom several ones are contributing to this school edition:

Columbia University: Giuseppe Di Guglielmo, Luca Carloni
Fermilab: Farah Fahim, Cristian Gingu, Christian Herwig, Jim Hirschauer, Martin Kwok, Nhan Tran
Florida Institute of Technology : Danny Noonan
Northwestern University : Manuel Valentin, Yingyi Luo, Seda Memik
