2nd Workshop on Power Converters for Particle Accelerators (POCPA)

Power Converters are critical components in the performance and the operation of Particle Accelerators. Meetings - scheduled or informally organized - during International Conferences either on Particle Accelerators or Power Electronics are not the best way for exchanging experiences and ideas. POCPA Workshop devoted to the specific field of POwer Converters for Particle Accelerators aimed to group specialists in this field from the particle accelerator laboratories worldwide for a two-days meeting and to organize a true "round table" on selected topics. The second POCPA workshop will address the issue of the safety for equipments and personnel, rules and experiences from different laboratories. The sessions 1 and 3 are devoted to this subject. The session 2 and 4 are reserved for technical presentations and project status. The idea is to have presentations on the last developments in the domain and on the progress of new facilities. The Scientific Committee decided to not invite commercial companies for this second Workshop to have the possibility of "free speech" among participants. Participation by invitation ONLY. Please contact one of the two chairpersons.
