The school intends to introduce to graduate students and young postdocs some fascinating and vastly unexplored material that may set a bridge between geometry and quantum field theory.

The material proposed melds cutting edge technologies from mathematics and theoretical physics: Conformal geometry and worldline methods have a long history, but the methods required to fully utilize these tools have only recently fully developed. String inspired techniques have been known for some time to provide efficient alternatives to standard Feynman diagrams. However only recently has this method been extended to the study of arbitrary spin fields by means of worldline spinning particle models. On the other hand, in the spirit of the AdS/CFT correspondence, the importance of using the conformal structure in the bulk to uncover solution generating algebras appeared just last year.

The school provides a few fellowships to cover travel expenses and lodging expenses for a limited number of graduate students/postdocs. The registration deadline for interested students/postdocs is October 19.  Applicants who require financial support will receive a reply from the Local Organizing Committee by October 31.
