Description
Ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions create a hot and dense quark-gluon plasma (QGP) medium. In this talk, we discuss how the theory-dependent dynamics during the equilibration period affects late-time observables such as energy per rapidity and elliptic flow [1,2]. In particular, we point out discrepancies between the predictions of kinetic theory and relativistic hydrodynamics and discuss how and when these can be brought into agreement.
