For all excursions holds:
If you are not on time to join the bus departures (from any place, also inbetween e. g. at Knossos or at the Museum) you are kindly asked to arrange by yourself your transportation.
Meals in OAC during excursions:
Friday 2 September evening, there will be no dinner at the restaurant of OAC however participants living in OAC that will not join the excursion to Chania the 2 September, are expected to pick up their dinner-package at 18:30 in the restaurant of OAC.
Friday 2 September evening, participants living in OAC that will join the excursion to Chania the 2 September, are expected to pick up their dinner-package at 18:30-18:50 in the synagogue of Chania.
Sunday 4 September at lunch time, the restaurant of OAC will be closed and the lunch will be offered at the excursions. Participants not joining the excursions are expected to organize their meal by themselves.
Sunday 4 September at dinner time the OAC restaurant is open.
Main Conference excursion
The conference excursion will take place on Sunday 4 September 2022.
Please take with you:
- Passport
- Certificate of vaccination for COVID-19 (if you have)
- Hat, sun creme and sunglasses
- Swimming suit, towel for sea
- Comfortable walking shoes.
There are 3 options for conference excursion:
- Monasteries
- Falassarna beach
- Knossos+Herakleion.
Those are the options for the main conference excursion, for which the participants do not pay as it is included in the conference fee.

Excursion to Chania
The excursion to Chania will take place on Friday 2 September 2022.
Please take with you:

- Comfortable walking shoes
Excursion fee for the excursion to Chania:
15 EUR per person for everyone who needs a sit for the bus transport (also for children).
Please see below the preliminary program of the excursion. You can join any of the events mentioned below if you like and/or take your free time.

Attention: it will not be possible earlier or later. 4) 19:00-19:25 Performance of Kalliopi Petrou (soprano) and Tommaso Dorigo (flute) in the Synagogue of Chania. (Shabbat Candle Lighting time: 19:32. Shabbat Kabbalat Shabbat service following that, for interested people.) |
