OAC Accommodation and conference package
The upcoming conference will take place at the Orthodox Academy of Crete (OAC), located in Kolymbari. The OAC is equipped with 60 comfortable rooms, each with 2 beds, and 5 of them are suites, comprising two rooms with a double bed in one room and a sofa in the other. All rooms are equipped with their own bathroom, and most offer a breathtaking sea view and partly air-conditioning.
OAC offers a delightful dining experience with breakfast and two meals served daily in the foundation's dining room. Guests can enjoy their meals on the veranda with a stunning view of the sea during the summer months.
The meals at OAC are inspired by traditional Cretan cuisine and include a variety of starters, salads, main courses, fruits/desserts, and local wine and water. The buffet-style breakfast is sure to satisfy any appetite, while lunch and dinner offer warm and savoury meals. At the same time, conference organizers make sure to provide a wide range of high-quality vegetarian dishes that are both nutritious and delicious.
The OAC offers an all-inclusive package that includes accommodation, full board, and conference facilities. Please refer to the accommodation costs listed below:

For example, if one participant is sharing a room with an accompanying person over 12 years old, they should pay a total of €170 per day (€105 for the participant + €65 for the accompanying person). If two participants are sharing a room, they should pay a total of €210 per day (€105 per participant). Please note that these prices include accommodation, full board, and conference facilities.
If you're staying at OAC, please note that the daily fee of €40 for conference facilities and coffee breaks is already included in the price of the room.
Please be aware that there have been reports of fraudulent activity involving people posing as hotel staff and offering to book rooms in their "company" for conference participants. Please note that you will receive information about your OAC room booking via the conference email, and payments can be made either via bank transfer.
OAC room booking and cancellation policy
To book a room at OAC, please follow these steps:
- Fill out the "OAC room booking" form found under the Registration menu item to make a pre-reservation. Do not proceed with any payment until you receive confirmation of your stay from the organizers.
- After receiving confirmation from the organizers, pay for at least one night (which is non-refundable) once you have bought your ticket or have secured your travel dates. If you need to make changes to your reservation dates, please email the organizers and wait for confirmation before making any changes to the registration form. Changes to the registration form alone will not affect your confirmed dates.
- Pay the full amount for your room before the conference once your travel plans are secured and after you have bought your ticket.
After you have made a payment, please send proof of payment (such as an electronic receipt, photo, or scan of the receipt) with payment details (participant name, payment information such as "accommodation," "meals," and conference fee payment) to icnfp2023@gmail.com.
Please note that any changes to the dates of your OAC room reservation can only be made until July 7, 2023. Please be aware that any changes to the dates of your room reservation after July 7, 2023, or without prior confirmation from the conference organizers, will incur a fee for all days indicated in the OAC registration form, as well as any additional days not originally specified in the OAC registration. For example, if you make a reservation for 4 nights but only stay for three, OAC will not reimburse the difference if the change is made after July 7, 2023.
Alternative accommodation (out of OAC)
For participants who prefer to make their own arrangements for accommodation, a list of hotels is provided below.
Please note that if you choose not to stay at OAC, you will have to pay €40 per day to use the conference facilities and attend the coffee breaks (this is mandatory). If you stay less than three days, a minimal OAC fee of €120 (equivalent to 3 days of daily OAC fee of €40, without meals) is required (non-refundable).
In addition, if you wish to have meals at OAC, it will cost €17 per meal. It is not mandatory to have meals at OAC if you choose to stay at a hotel.
