Description
The last update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics has established the need for a coherent detector R&D program with a sustained funding scheme. As a first step in the implementation of this mandate, a detector R&D roadmap has been proposed, which identifies eight areas of strategic R&D, and is planning to create one international collaboration for detector R&D (DRD collaborations) in each of this areas that will be hosted by CERN, and will coordinate the R&D efforts in the most coherent way possible. In particular, these new DRD collaborations will supersede the successful RD5x and CALICE collaborations in which several institutes in Spain have been involved.
It is timely therefore to gather the Spanish community working on detector R&D in order to identify national plans and priorities in the mid to long-term and understand how they might fit in the new scheme of the DRD collaborations. It will also be an opportunity to share experiences, needs, difficulties and opportunities in this field, whose progress is of upmost importance.

The best way to reach the conference place from the airport at Terminal T1 is to get the bus called Aerobús , to “placa Catalunya”, the center of
Barcelona. From there, you can get the FGC to Universidad Autonoma. Once at the University station you have to walk to CNM (15 min). See google map link.
The taxi from the airport will cost about 50-60 € depending on traffic.
