The proceedings for “Topical Workshop on Electronics for Particle Physics - TWEPP2023” held on 2 - 6 October, 2023 will be published in the Proceedings Section of JINST, Journal of Instrumentation.
TWEPP organises for a non-open access publication. Authors have the choice for an open access publication, but the cost for open-access option need to be covered by the author unless their institute has an agreement with JINST. More information on the JINST policy is availalbe here:
https://jinst.sissa.it/jinst/help/helpLoader.jsp?pgType=author#access
Manuscripts should be preferably prepared in LaTeX in one of the following ways:
• using the template available on Overleaf
• using the package jinstpub.sty
MS Word submissions are also accepted provided they follow the JINST template.
JINST latex and MS Word templates and instructions can be found here:
https://jinst.sissa.it/jinst/help/JINST_TeXclass.jsp
Kindly notice that the number of pages must not exceed 5 pages (excluding the title/abstract page and bibliography) for both oral and poster contributions. A table of content is not mandatory.
Please display line numbers.
The JINST manuscript upload process foresees two submission processes. In case you have problmes with line numbers being accepted, please use "submission via web upload".
Submission of TWEPP 2023 proceedings is encouraged before TWEPP takes place but must be submitted by November 3, 23:59 at the latest, with no extension to this deadline foreseen.
When writing your contribution please take into account the following points:
Describe the specifications of the work, possibly the arguments for these specifications and the implementation challenge arising from these specifications. Use quantitative (numbers) statements, comparisons and performance figures; and do not give statements that a given parameter needs to be high or low.
Given that the number of pages is restricted it is suggested to limit the introduction to relevant information to the work you describe in the paper. Repetition of standards phrases about the LHC luminosity upgrade might only be useful if this information is set in direct context to your work.
Describe the work and challenge/complexity such that it can be understood by a scientist outside your field of competence in contrast to writing an experiment collaboration note.
Describe why your work is worth being presented at a scientific/technical workshop.
Describe the challenges/difficulties during the implementation of the work and how it was solved or why not.
Check the quality of formatting, language and style (i.e. incoherent use of unit of measure; different conventions used in the same paper such as abbreviations \3 s", \3 sec", \3 seconds" and position: \3C", \3 C"; poorly organized tables; etc.)
