FROM COINTRIN, GENEVA AIRPORT to CERN
The CERN shuttle service in NOT working at this time.
If you take the public transport, the ticket 'Tout Geneve' can be purchased for 3 CHF at the machines at the tram stops:
Bus 23/28/57 until Blandonnet then Tram 18.

Taxis from the airport will cost approximately 35 CHF.
FROM CORNAVIN TRAIN STATION (downtown Geneva) to CERN
From Cornavin (the stop is to the right of the main station exit as you walk out, under the overpass), you can take the 18 tram, direction CERN. The "Tout Geneve" ticket costs 3 CHF and allows you to ride the transportation services (including changes) for 1h. The tickets can be purchased at the machine at the tram and bus stops. Credit cards are accepted.
Taxis from the train station to CERN will cost approximately 45 CHF.

FROM THE AIRPORT TO GENEVA
To get to Geneva from the airport you can take the train from the airport to Geneva Cornavin station. The trip takes some 10 minutes.

ONCE AT CERN
If you have a room at the Hostel and arrive on Sunday evening, the guards at CERN Main Entrance (B) will have you on the guest list. Please bring with you the reservation confirmation, or invitation letter.
For detailed maps of CERN, you may enter building numbers into the search field at the top of the CERN webpage. Hostel buildings are numbers 38,39,41, reception is 33, restaurant is building 501, and the TH Secretariat is in building 4 (room 4-2-004). The conference auditorium is in building 4 (room 4-3-006).
You will need a CERN access card to enter the site. More details and a link will be sent shortly before the conference.
