Early-Career Support

The Initial Stages 2025 conference is pleased to offer support to a limited number of early-career researchers, with a focus on students, to encourage their participation in the event.

The support will cover the full registration fee, but travel expenses are not included. Additionally, accommodation assistance may be available for a limited number of students. If you require accommodation support, please let us know.

To apply for early-career researcher support:

  1. Check the relevant box in the registration form. You can do this either during registration or afterward by modifying your registration details.

  2. Submit the following documents to is2025-support@phy.ncu.edu.tw:
    a) Your current CV
    b) A brief note indicating whether you have been accepted for a contribution (talk or poster) at IS2025
Please ensure both the email subject and filename include your first and last name.
Early-career researcher support is not contingent on having an accepted contribution, but priority will be given to those with one.

  3. Request a letter of support from your supervisor, advisor, or mentor (maximum of one page), to be sent to is2025-support@phy.ncu.edu.tw. Ensure that your first and last name are included in the email subject and filename.

Support will primarily be granted to students, but young postdocs in need of financial assistance will also be considered.

Attendance at the IS2025 student lectures on Sunday, September 7th, 2025, is mandatory for early-career researchers receiving support.

We expect supported researchers to assist during the conference, such as helping session chairs manage microphones during Q&A sessions.

The deadline for submitting your application is May 31, 2025. Notification of acceptance will be sent by June 16, 2025.
