Several specific R&D projects are currently being pursued under the DRDs (as well as the U.S. CPAD RDCs), but this workshop aims to be cross-cutting across DRD1, 3, 7 and 8. Discussions from the low-level readout architectures to addressing larger scale system integration issues with a goal of creating a workplan that helps to understand and quantify the design choices as a function of cost, performance and flexibility as well as study the advantage of specific design choices to physics. The workshop will aim to foster collaboration between interested institutes to:
- Discuss existing and new design choices for an integrated tracker and their challenges.
- Develop specific configuration choices, as an action item for this workshop, that is worthy of further (simulation) studies
- Understand the interests of the various institutes, draw up a collaborative plan based on the available resources so that we can work toward a common goal.ย
- Draw up an actionable plan that can be followed up regularly.ย
