Several specific R&D projects are currently being pursued under the DRDs (as well as the U.S. CPAD RDCs), but this workshop aims to be cross-cutting across DRD1, 3, 7 and 8. Discussions from the low-level readout architectures to addressing larger scale system integration issues with a goal of creating a workplan that helps to understand and quantify the design choices as a function of cost, performance and flexibility as well as study the advantage of specific design choices to physics. The workshop will aim to foster collaboration between interested institutes to:

  1. Discuss existing and new design choices for an integrated tracker and their challenges.
  2. Develop specific configuration choices, as an action item for this workshop, that is worthy of further (simulation) studies
  3. Understand the interests of the various institutes, draw up a collaborative plan based on the available resources so that we can work toward a common goal.ย
  4. Draw up an actionable plan that can be followed up regularly.ย
