At this particularly exciting moment of the project, the HL-LHC Collaboration Meeting will return to the United Kingdom for a second time, thirteen years after the meeting held at Daresbury Laboratory in 2013. This year’s 16th HL-LHC Collaboration Meeting will be hosted by our British partners at Royal Holloway, University of London, and will bring together all members of the collaboration and partner institutions shortly after the start of Long Shutdown 3 (LS3), which marks the beginning of deployment activities for the HL-LHC in the LHC tunnel. As the project makes this important transition from production and testing to large-scale installation and integration, the meeting will provide a timely opportunity to review progress and discuss upcoming milestones across the accelerator and technical infrastructure domains as well as the interfaces towards the experiments. The meeting will also offer a chance to celebrate the successful completion of several collaboration contributions, with many of their deliverables already installed and successfully operating at nominal conditions in the Inner Triplet String test facility at CERN. These achievements represent vital milestones for the project and demonstrate the successful collaboration between CERN, partner laboratories, and institutes across the HL-LHC community in transforming this challenging project into reality. Following the Collaboration Board with the international partners on Monday morning, the official programme will start on Monday afternoon with plenary sessions, followed by a Welcome drink and a Banquet in the beautiful setting of the Founders Hall at RHUL. Project and work-package status updates and topical discussions on key technical challenges will carry on in parallel sessions over the next two days. In view of the ongoing LS3, the programme has been condensed into 2.5 days, allowing to close-out this year’s annual meeting on Wednesday mid-afternoon. Participation in the meeting is by invitation only, and registration is mandatory and without fee.
