Interconnections are essential for the manufacturing of advanced chips for the semiconductor industry and to position-sensitive detectors in particle physics.
Interconnections provide means to connect together various layers of chips and with particle converting layers, enabling the development of very compact and energy-efficient devices with no dead-areas when tiled together for tracking purposes.
