Europe is in the forefront of R&D in Accelerators, whereas Asian and American industry are dominating the market. The purpose of this event, hosted by STFC in Rutherford Appleton, United Kingdom, is to review what is considered to be at the forefront in the field of R&D in accelerators that could benefit key application areas in industry. Therefore to facilitate the exchange of  information  between academia and industry, foster more R&D collaborations between them, as well as possibly improve the position of European industry in relation with the market leaders.
