Description

The long-term upgrade plan for the RHIC facility at BNL foresees the addition of a high-energy polarized electron beam to the existing hadron machine thus converting RHIC into an Electron-Ion Collider (eRHIC) with luminosities exceeding $10^{33} cm^{-1} s^{-1}$. GEANT simulation framework for this future project (EicRoot) is based on FairRoot and its derivatives (PandaRoot, CbmRoot, FopiRoot). General layout of the EicRoot framework, as well as its distinguishing features (user-friendly tools for momentum/energy resolution studies of basic tracker and EM calorimeter setups, a powerful CAD-to-ROOT geometry converter, etc) will be presented.
