Excursion

The conference excursion will happen on Thursday 10th April after lunch. A bus will depart from the hotel and provide transportation for the whole excursion. The cost of the bus will covered by the conference fee. You will only have to pay $15 per adult ($7.00 for ages 6 - 12 and 62+, Free for under 5) for admission to Rodeo.

Firstly, we will travel to see a Saturn V at Houston's famous space center. It was built to send astronauts to the moon, but decommissioned before it had the chance to leave Earth. It is the only type launch vehicle capable of transporting human beings beyond low Earth orbit, and with a height of 363 ft (111 m) and mass of 6,200,000 lbs (2,800,000 kg), is the largest ever rocket built.  We will then proceed to the Galveston's County Fair and Rodeo. This is a yearly event that happens to occur at the same time as the Winter Workshop. Events include livestock shows, contests, rodeo events, seafood and BBQ cook-offs, live music and family fun.
