The PURESAFE Final Conference is the closing event of the PURESAFE (“Preventing hUman intervention for incrREased SAfety in inFrastructures Emitting ionizing radiation”) Initial Training Network FP7 Marie Curie Actions project, supported by the European Commission under grant agreement no. 264336. It will take place at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. One and a half days will be dedicated to systems engineering aspects; Two and a half days to telerobotics. Visits to CERN’s impressive scientific facilities are also part of this event.
The objectives of this conference are threefold: presenting to the systems engineering and telerobotics communities the outcomes of the 15 research projects; offering other young researchers in these fields the possibility to present the outcomes of their on-going research work; and last but not least bringing together researchers and practitioners to exchange and share their experiences and research results in all aspects of systems engineering and telerobotics applied to scientific facilities subject to ionizing radiation and other hazards.
