The closest airport to Ann Arbor is the Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) serviced by all of the major US and international airlines.  Travel time from the airport to downtown Ann Arbor is approximately 45 minutes.

 

Airport transportation:

BUS

the  inexpensive AirRide ($15/person, runs about once every 60-90 minutes, drop off at State Street Area hotels, and the downtown Blake Transit Center,  about a 10 min walk to the North Quad dorms, and on-campus hotels. (Schedule is below) 

People staying downtown - near campus should exit at the Blake Transit Center. People staying at the State Street/Briarwood hotels should exit at the Kensington Ct. hotel stop.

 

TAXIS

a)  Metrocab taxi  (~$60 )  (1-800-505-3161)  or proceed to the taxi stop and board immediately  upon arrival.  

b)  Metroride taxi  (~$60 )  ( 800-320-1683 ) 

c)  AnnArbor Airport Shuttle ( call for reservations 734-699-8500)

d)  Bills Van Service  (734) 834-8294  is $49 - and will take a group of up to five for the same price. 

(Indicate that you are attending the Univ. Michigan  Physics conference on their online reservation form.)
